Enjoy a comfortable working space in a Loft Studio with 2 artists per work station!   Group Workshop (4-6), State-of-the-Art Equipment, R&F Paints, All Materials Included.  No painting experience required.  A hands-on workshop with demos to provide you with a comprehensive working knowledge of Encaustic painting. "Encaustic Studio Time"

Encaustic Studio Time !   This workshop is open to artists that have worked in wax and would like to spend time completing work or starting something new!  This is studio time for you to work independently! Try out  R&F paint products and other wax compatible materials. Paint & expand your techniques with your own fully equipped workstation with supplies and materials.   All equipment & paints will be provided. Bring your own panel(s) and preferred materials. Please use panels no larger than 12"x12" or if you have one large work (no larger than 36"x36", that is acceptable.   Individual Instruction? Please write to me if you are interested.  $100/hr & a 2-hour minimum. All materials included.   When? Cyndy Goldman Studio - "new" Workshops!  Multi-Media Arts and Sandplay for Adults   Cyndy Goldman is a working Visual Artist, Educator, Certified Facilitator in Sandplay Therapy, Certified in Expressive Arts Therapy, and a Clinical Certified Hypnotherapist. She has been working with individuals and groups since 1989.  Her community work in the non-profit sector includes implementing and starting up Self-Help Groups in the 11 Bay Area counties for the San Francisco Mental Health Association. Workshops for Feb. 25  & 26, 2012 (Saturday & Sunday) Location:  Lofts at 2200 Adeline Street, Suite 360 (@West Grand), Oakland, CA   Parking on Adeline & gated building lot available.    "Intro Sandplay for Adults Workshop" Experiential and fun workshop for you to create sandworlds in a tray of sand from a rich extensive collection of miniature objects, figures and symbols. Begin wherever you are in your life's journey. You will be guided and discover how to travel through your world to find personal meaning, growth, awareness and renewed vitality. Enjoy sharing in a safe and nurturing setting.  No experience needed.  What is Sandplay? Sandplay is hands on psychological work. It is a powerful therapeutic technique that facilitates the psyche’s natural capacity for healing. (Dora Kalff, Jungian therapist, developed sandplay therapy in Switzerland in the 1950s and '60s based on her studies at the C.G. Jung Institute, Zurich, in Tibetan Buddhism, and with Margaret Lowenfeld, in England).  In a “free and protected” space provided by the facilitator, you create a concrete manifestation of your imaginal world using sand, water, and miniature objects. In this way Sandplay helps honor and illuminates the internal symbolic world and provides a place for its expression within a safe container of colored sand.
